I bought this because of the reviews, so it was only fair for me to leave one as well. I was so impressed by this equipment. I am so tired after doing push ups all over the place on this thing. The board itself is color coded, so you don't even have to look at the chart to figure out what areas you want to hit. It's simple, but it is high quality. The handles lock in tight and do not wobble at all while you are using it.
I love this product! It doesn't take up much space, it's fairly light, it works well on all even surfaces, and gives your muscles a great burn. When I first bought this I was worried about the sturdiness of the product, but don't worry this thing is pretty dang solid. They've made it super easy by color coating the different muscle groups and the different position needed to work them out. This is by far my favorite push up product I have tried, in fact I just bought one for my brother in-law for Christmas. This review probably makes me sound like I was paid by the company, but I wasn't paid or asked to leave this review its just a great product.
This product exceeded my expectations. It is durable ABS-type plastic, yet lightweight and can be easily made into halves for storage in a small space. The handles have a substantial, solid feel. They work very well for me when I do pushups. The peg system is color-coded and easy to follow. I can certainly feel when I have the pegs positioned to emphasize my back muscle group. My back doesn't hurt, but the muscles are certainly stimulated after 50 reps. The unit doesn't sink or flex when I use it. The pegs also stay in place. I use this product 2-3 times per day and it shows no wear. I place it on carpet, but I think it would work fine on any surface, but I would probably put a thin mat or something non-slip under it if you were to use it on concrete in order to not scuff up its feet. This is an example of a good idea that wasn't "over-engineered" with too many components or features. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I love this thing, its great for getting some different movements in on push ups. I do push ups as my primary exercise for chest and this has added some great new ways for me to utilize this great exercise. Even when your working your chest, back or triceps you still are building your chest. another added benefit is that this builds your forearms as well. I would not say this solves your entire workout program but its a seriously great addition, I use mine every day since it came in the mail.
This thing is very well made! I'm actually surprised. It's hard to tell from looking at the images on the site, but the handles are heavy duty. They aren't chinsy lightweight plastic handles. They have some weight to them! And they don't have that crappy squishy foam, either. They have hard rubber grips that will actually last.
I can't speak to how much weight they can hold (I'm a 140lb female) but the base doesn't budge at all when I use it, the handles don't get stuck or jammed from the pressure of use, and it just FEELS well built. I'm very pleased.
This thing gets a lot of use too. I am a personal trainer and this is great for my clients that are just starting out and need to learn what proper positioning and form feels like, as well as more advanced clients who just want to change things up. Not to mention for people who have a wrist that doesn't bend properly for whatever reason like myself; those little round or H shaped handles don't have the stability I need to do anything but a standard push up. Go ahead and use those for a wide grip push up, you're very likely to land on your face.
Push ups are such a great exercise that's easy to overlook when you have a gym full of equipment. This helps make them visible again.
